Abundance Beyond Trauma is the most valuable resource that I have read on recovering from a trauma. My son was in a debilitating accident and this book gives me so much hope on recovering and living a happy life. The advice on getting through panic attacks and PTSD are very helpful. I am going to follow through on the advice to “Take my healing very seriously for the sake of their future”. Highly recommended!

This is a well written book that feels heartfelt and honest. You can tell the author truly cares and wants to help others who struggle with anxiety or trauma or any of life’s stresses or struggles really. She candidly shares her own experiences that are pretty relatable. It gets you to look at the reason behind what’s happening, but in a very gentle and accepting way. I found it to be very encouraging and inspiring.

Abundance Beyond Trauma is an excellent resource to help you heal from trauma you’ve experienced in your past. The author shares her past experiences of trauma, which you may or may not relate to, and then goes step by step through the process(es) she used to heal from those traumas and have an abundant life. While my trauma is different to what the author experienced, I felt like she did a great job explaining step by step the process to help with any type of trauma, and her story of triumph was inspiring! I highly recommend this book to anyone who has experienced trauma in their past!

The author speaks from a place of knowing – not only is she a healer who has helped many with their trauma – her own journey that she outlines in the book has been one of survival and resilience. This is a practical, compassionate and loving book with a step by step guide to transforming trauma into abundance. A must read!

  8. Brett Williamson (verified owner)

Refreshing yet raw, miles beyond the average book about trauma and how to properly 1. view it and 2. see the path out. Her rather frank openness regarding her trauma gives her voice and advice authority but in a soft, compassionate warm way that comforts you, knowing you’re not alone in your journey through the healing process.

  9. Sara G. (verified owner)

Jeannine’s story caught me right away. Once I started reading, I could not put it down. She did a beautiful job of not only sharing her own experiences but also drawing from them how others can deal with similar trauma. She gave great advice that felt really tangible. I would highly recommend this book!! Can’t wait to see what else she writes!

  10. Deirdre Stokes (verified owner)

This book was inspiring and knowledgeable as the author takes you through her traumas and struggles. But it’s how she overcomes these troubles and helped other people along the way that was powerful and enlightening.

My review of “Abundance Beyond Trauma” by Jeannine Rashidi
Speaking as a survivor of trauma, caught up in the merry-go-round of repeated trauma-dramas, Jeanine Rashidi’s work: “Abundance Beyond Trauma” is genius. It presents clear and easily understood definitions and easily disassociated physical conditions that occur in various life events that become traumatic for many people. This clarifies the importance and benefits that plague and await trauma survivors that want more than baseline survival, offering up a clear path to start and chart the journey to thriving with abundance, no matter how bad or benign you think your trauma was or remains today. It also lends insights to understand how so many people in the news today are not successfully dealing with what we may believe as obviously misguided. Trauma carried forward begets trauma in others. Help change the world for the better, read and do this book, share it with your best friends. It will help free you to be yourself more than you ever could have imagined.

Once I started reading, “Abundance Beyond Trauma,” I could not stop! The author does a great job keeping the readers attention by talking to the reader and sharing her personal story. I am beyond impressed with the authors journey and how now, she is able to help some many others dealing with unwanted trauma! I highly recommend this insightful, life changing book.

I purchased this while it was still Mental Health Awareness month. I just wanted to understand some more concepts in an effort to help spread awareness. I learned A LOT from this book in regards to defining words that I never knew existed and how to overcome things from the past. This book is amazing, and I will be sharing with all my friends and family.

  15. C. L. Piper (verified owner)

The author tells us about the dysfunctional life she lived until the age of 25. Statistically, she should be a drug addict or dead in a ditch somewhere. But she is thriving today and helping others! She takes us through her thought processes and life events, and what made her life start turning around. She talks about the strategies she used to reframe her thoughts and life. If she can use these strategies to turn her life around, anyone else can follow her lead to improve their life using the steps in this book. Highly recommend!

  16. Martha Harkey, PhD, AP (verified owner)

This is a very personal and well-written book which offers a step-by-step program for dealing with trauma. Jeannineʻs story is truly inspirational and provides an authentic and successful approach to break the patterns in behaviors which are triggered by trauma (great or small). Her broad definition of trauma makes this book a useful tool for everyone, even those who may not recognize that they have had traumatic event(s) in their past which continue to color how they respond to lifeʻs challenges (if we have fear, we look for things of which to be afraid).

This book is extremely easy to read and is even somewhat of a page turner, which is unusual for a book on trauma.
The author’s personal story is touching and she tells it in a disarmingly honest way. Her own recipe for healing trauma utilizes holistic methods that are consistent with what experienced trauma therapists would offer, and there are some true gems in here that are sure to be helpful to others!

Even if you haven’t been through a major trauma, I found this book so enlightening!!! We ALL have something we are/ need to work through. Mine happen to be self-judgement. Once a collegiate athlete to a mom who struggles with an autoimmune disease… so disconnected with my mind, body and soul. I felt betrayed. This book has so many moments where I stopped and quietly shook my head in agreement and knew i had to heal all of those
separate parts of me so I could become whole again. This truly is a book for everyone ❤️

A book filled with personal experiences of trauma and rejection turned around to heal others. A must read for all age groups from teenage to any age. Childhood traumas can haunt you into adulthood and beyond if not acknowledged and addressed timely. The author has so delightfully addressed this serious subject with a shift from taboo to self therapy. Her words from the book, “wounded people wound others when they haven’t tended to their own wounds. We are living in a society where most of us can resonate with hate, crime, rejection and anger. Such books act as a torch -each one teach one!!!!

The author shares intense moments in time and then how she learns to overcome and she also shares strategies with you to help PSTD. She wrote from the heart and has the intention to help others heal ultimately in this book with special advice for people wanting to heal from PSTD. Great book!

Abundance Beyond Trauma combines the author’s own journey to process and heal from two and a half decades of trauma with actions the reader can take to reframe their own life story and reveal a much richer and more satisfying existence. Jeanine’s writing is straightforward and accessible for those of us who are glazed over from a myriad of self-help books. Plus she is funny! Her journey is not just one of heartache and hard work, but also one that includes discovering joy and self reliance. If you are going to pick one self-help book to aid your understanding of how dig yourself out of the pit of suffering that is PTSD, choose Jeanine Rashidi’s book. And for those who have read it, no, my big toe is not triggered.

  27. Dr. Adrian Harrison (verified owner)

Everyone has traumatic experiences. Have you identified and processed yours and emerged with new appreciation for and understanding of yourself and others? The author explains how painful experiences that have been suppressed or frozen are re-activated by triggering events later in life. They also result in unhealthy patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour that keep attracting more of the same.
In this book, we share the author’s incredible journey – breaking the shackles of chronic trauma and accompanying addictions, searching for and finding solutions, eventually achieving mastery, and then sharing her healing gifts with the world. Whether the traumas in your life have been monumental or not, none are insignificant. Prepare to be moved, inspired, educated, and helped in ways you won’t expect.

Superbly written! I would say it’s a page turner, but I use the audio book for my commute. Definitely helps to drop tools into the mental and emotional tool box to help understand and heal from my own hurt at a young age. I will be recommending this to siblings that shared my youth trauma.

  29. Rana Boulos (verified owner)

This book is about the recovery after experiencing trauma. The author tells her own story about her traumatic experiences which started as a child, how she developed PTSD, and finally how she recovered. An inspiring book for all those who have been through traumatic events and the step-by-step process towards healing. I recommend this book for those who want to become whole again.

  30. Rubywoofer (verified owner)

The author’s experiences are different from my own, but EDHIR can work for anyone in any triggering situation. I love the step that talks about searching for something living in the immediate space you are in because it puts you back into your body. But step 6: “Get big, REAL BIG. Imagine you are so big that you have a 360-degree view of the part of you that is triggered” was the most empowering step for me since my trauma consistently resulted in me trying to become smaller in an effort to protect myself. I got to see first hand what part of me was triggered and I learned to stand up for myself to the person who had been triggering me for a lifetime. Now it’s just a matter-of-fact situation that I can speak up for myself.

The author shares sensitive personal traumatic experiences in a thoughtful way to avoid triggering readers’ trauma. And if you happen to be triggered anyway, as I was, keep reading at a quick pace because she also offers multiple resources and tools for dealing with those triggers once and for all. This book was well written and material was professionally presented with helpful worksheets and checklists. The information presented in this book was comprehensive in nature and packaged nicely. This book would be beneficial for anyone ready to move towards healing from C-PTSD or trauma using a range of simple and practical suggestions or more complex and complete Ayurvedic principles either for yourself or to help a loved one heal. I appreciate that the author included the psychology of thought processes and explored fight, flight, freeze modes. I also appreciate her courage, strength, and fortitude to deal with and break the cycle of negative generational issues. Healing from harm benefits us personally as well as those around us and the future generations of our bloodline as well. Thank you, Jeannine, for writing this important book to help equip more people with tools to heal.

As both an Ayurvedic practitioner, someone who has experienced trauma, and who works with clients with trauma, this book is one of the most honest, heartfelt, and effective resources I have ever come across. The author bridges modern psychology, traditional Ayurvedic wisdom, and her personal experience beautifully. It is simple yet penetrating. It calls on the reader to take responsibility for their own healing, in a kind and compassionate way. Thank you Ms. Rashidi for your sharing this vital offering with us. It touched me deeply.

I read this book in one day after my mom passed away. I now have practical tools & a workbook to help me process my trauma and triggers. As an abuse thriver this story resonated deep with me & showed me places I still have unhealed wounds. I feel well equipped to heal any fragmented parts of me remaining.

Jeannine has had a tremendous journey of healing, and offers not only lessons learned, but fully integrated practices for bringing together mind, body, and soul. I admire her bravery in sharing both her trauma and her long road to true health, as well as bringing to light the incredibly rich tradition of Ayuerveda (an ancient and much more holistic approach to “healthcare” than anything traditional Western medicine offers).

Jeannine’s system, while certainly all-encompassing and no doubt impactful if undertaken with professional guidance, might be difficult to accomplish for those new to trauma work – the very nature of trauma is such that it often takes years to get to a point where one is comfortable enough to admit the trauma, let alone turn to face it; breathe through it; interact with it; and ultimately transcend it.

That being said, the whole-person approach Jeannine advocates and teaches here is one of the most comprehensive and truly beneficial I’ve seen contained in one book. I just don’t know that I’d attempt to heal real trauma alone with just this book as a guide. It’d be worth scheduling a call with Jeannine for that experienced guidance alongside the practices!

There are numerous books on trauma. What sets this one apart is the author’s powerful story of overcoming a traumatic childhood by healing herself . in the book she shares the healing method she developed called EDHIR as well as methods from spiritual teachers such as Byron Katie.

What I liked best about the book was the down to earth way that Jeannine explains trauma and explores how to heal the wounded child that many if not most adults have. A great new resource that I plan to share with my clients

A stirring account of one woman’s triumph over childhood abuse and neglect that is both sobering and inspiring. Her commitment to move beyond survival led to healing and the later development of a transformative system of self-care which she shares in this very well-written book. Thank God for the support of her teachers who recognized her struggles and strengthened her sense of self and aptitude for learning which helped her withstand a horrific home environment. Well done, Jeannie Rashidi!

In the book by Jeannine Rashidi, she has shared an important concept that affects us all. “Wounded people wound others when they have not tended to their wounds”. Her step by step process guides one through the path towards healing. She provides what is needed to disconnect the heart and mind and help become the better version of themselves. I so appreciated your book of wisdom Jeannine. Such an important book for our current times.

This book was designed to not trigger you while reading. It keeps you in the present while dealing with your inner child. I found it very helpful and felt like it was made for me. My favorite pages were 104 & page 131. They hit like I have a different perspective in my mind. I liked the flowery artwork throughout it also. I recommend anyone who has had trauma or is helping some one through trauma to read this book. You will be amazed by the adulthood of your inner child. Great print size and I liked that it was less than 200 pages.
To Jeanine; Author, Thanks for writing this book and sharing your raw emotions and your history to help us move forward successfully.
