This is a great book although I do not think it’s meant for parents, i believe it’s for teachers, psychologist ect.

  2. CarolinaKatie43 (verified owner)

I would recommend this book. I am a school
Counselor and many of the worksheets are great. One thing that for me that is missing is the “cuteness.” Don’t expect any clip art on these pages. They are very basic but have great, kid friendly ideas on them so this book has become my new go to book when working with kids.

  3. Katie Divers (verified owner)

This book is great and I love the worksheets for my students! Losing 1 star because there are several pages that are misprinted or have typos.

  4. Ouzola Customer (verified owner)

Love this workbook for kids! Nothing but worksheets though, I wish it came with some psychoeducation reading material for kids and parents.

  5. Travel Girl (verified owner)

Love the book and how it is broken down!

  6. Jesi R. (verified owner)

I love this workbook. I would have given 5 stars except my book came with a lot of dents and bends in the pages. However, I plan to make copies of most of the pages (I have three kiddos to use them with) so I figured it wasn’t that big of a deal. This workbook has been a great help for all of my kids.

    Good book

I have yet to have a great look and to utilize the activities. However, I have looked through it briefly and what I’ve read is incredible. The activities seem fun and would be clinically reach if the client was serious with the assignment. I need a minute to sit down and study the book and once I do, I’ll use it over and over!

  10. Felicia T. (verified owner)

In my line of work (children with developmental delays) I can use some of the activities, but it needs more explanations and pictures, less writing.

I teach at an intermediate (alternative) school with students who are suspended or expelled from their home district. This book has DOZENS of worksheets that are applicable to the skills my students need to learn how to cope with their anger, communication needs, problem solving, coping skills, etc. The book only contains worksheets so you have to design the lesson plans but the worksheets lead you there very easily. This culmination of worksheets is the perfect starting point for teaching students social/emotional strategies!!!

    Applicable book

  13. Mary Romm (verified owner)

I enjoy this book, particularly with the questions it ask around each diagnosis and the worksheets working with them. However, I find it can be a little wordy on some pages with kids having to write multiple sentences. I appreciate using the questions with parents and having them ask the kids those questions. There are other activities in each one that I enjoy, particularly the animal walks or mindfulness activities.

This book is easy to use and very helpful. I use it OFTEN. Its format allows room for you to add your own personal adjustments when needed to cater to a variety of clients. Because of this, I’ve been able to use it with clients from ages 6 to 17, even my probation/ juvenile detention clients (so far). THANK YOU! I am in need of more books like this.

This is an awesome resource. I work with children of trauma situations, as well as parent a child with R.A.D. and O.D.D. There are many, many wonderful ideas and activities in this book. Most are great for all children. I will be purchasing more to gift to friends and teachers.

  16. Theresa B. (verified owner)

Item just as described, packed with activities and useful tools!

  17. Rebecca Tartaglia (verified owner)

I’ve used these materials with my kiddos at my internship and they loved them! I wish that they were a little more colorful and fun, but they really helped my clients get a better sense of their anxiety and how to cope with it. I borrowed this book from my supervisor and bought my own copy because I was such a fan!

  18. Ouzola Customer (verified owner)

    Really liking

  19. Naaila Asheed-Moumaris (verified owner)

It can be useful. It was good to have things organized in a theme but I don’t see anything I couldn’t have gotten anywhere else online.

If you’re new to counseling, this can be helpful.

I’m a school aged daycare teacher and my students have a lot of BIG emotions. The school I work for has given me some formal lessons that the kids don’t seem to care about so I did some research. A lot of these things have very similar and free VERSIONS online because they are common tools, but I wanted something that was easy to slap on the copy machine cause I don’t have time to dig. It’s very well set up and my only students who need help understanding the assignment are the ones who cant read and write yet. I love the binding style for what I need it for and I love how easy it is to navigate!

I was at a loss on how to help my child. This has been such an amazing way to connect with him and help him at the same time. I highly recommend this product if your child has anxiety, issues processing negative events and learning how to move past these things in their life.

This is a must have for all therapists who work with kids and teens! I have relied on this book so many times when I was last minute planning for a session or needed inspiration for a session. It’s so easy to make photocopies of the pages to take into session and go over with clients. I love that it has so many different presenting problem sections too (depression, trauma, etc). I’ve found some fave worksheets over the year that I make sure to have copies of at all times because they really help clients gain insight!

  23. Polly Pocket (verified owner)

Awesome book! This is exactly what I wanted. I was searching for a CBT book to use with my students. The book covers a variety of topics and almost every page has a worksheet on it to use with your clients! Very useful tool for any counselor working on developing social-emotional learning skills.

Pandemic is messing with kids. We’ve never seen such a spike in mental health crisis.
*Sips tea* yet USA not helping with therapy access? Bet. Buy this book to help you navigate with kids. 5/5
Full content. Relatable with wide age range
Even your inner child we don’t talk about

  25. Jay Edward Bowland (verified owner)

I find this book to be really helpful as I work with kids. It is a great collection of resources covering a range of topics within CBT.

  26. Ouzola Customer (verified owner)

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the worksheets are more children/early adolescents. I feel a lot of the worksheets are too simple for some of my adolescent clients.

  27. Anna (verified owner)

There were a few typos on some pages, but I love the worksheets that come along with it. Worksheets are easy to do and I love that they cover a wide variety of topics

  28. Susan Clark (verified owner)

Helpful pages to utilize working with individuals.

  29. Mark (verified owner)

I’ve been a child/adolescent therapist for over 20 years. I love doing hands-on and visual exercises with my clients. It helps them remember the concepts, express themselves more easily, and I enjoy the process myself. This book has so many activities I am excited to use! It’s very well thought out and I love how caregivers are included in some of the pages. Well done!

  30. Tracey M Webb (verified owner)

I love how many topics are in this book. Great resource.

  31. Maurene Goodman (verified owner)

As a psychologist, this was such a great purchase for sessions with my kiddos. I always have worksheets to fit variety of presenting problems

This is my holy grail for ERMHS sessions. I highly recommend this for school psychologists. It’s so easy to use.

I am a clinical social worker. I have worked at an in-patient psychiatric hospital and in a partial hospitalization clinic facilitating group therapy program for kids, pre-teens, teens, and adults. Currently, I have been transitioning to an outpatient therapist and was looking for additional resources. I have used similar exercises to several of the ones in this book that I know have worked well in group therapy settings. I was very pleased to see some of my old favorites along with so many new and creatively-thought exercises that I am eager to try with my individual clients! I really loved the organizational structure of in-session exercises, homework for the client, as well as exercises for the caregiver. The exercises are also grouped in content areas of Cognitive Skills, Relationship Coaching, Competency Building, and Brain Based Learning and organized into areas for several different diagnoses, which works as a helpful guide when needing to use the exercises to prepare for session and/or for quick reference in session. I love the inclusion of the caregiver exercises as I think it is very important to involve the parent and these exercises are a wonderful way to incorporate caregiver involvement in a positive way. I am particularly happy to have such an easy to use quick reference to augment material for sessions! Thank you to the authors for such a well designed resource! Now, I just need to find one designed for adults!

If I kept it I haven’t even used it at work, needed for 12-18 age group

  35. AB (verified owner)

I use this at home for my child with ADHD and OCD. My child enjoys completing the worksheets and we follow up with a discussion as my child completes them. It has been a great tool for self awareness and has helped my child recognize triggers and find ways to manage situations before they get out of hand.

  36. Chelsea G (verified owner)

This book has helped a lot when I get stuck on activities that are fun yet educational for my students to help promote their goal success during sessions. Fantastic book and great price

  37. Badson (verified owner)

I use this book as inspiration for activities during my sessions. I love it.
